The coastal town of Vodice owes its name to the abundance of drinking water that was exported from there in the past until the 19th century. Vodice is located not far from Šibenik to the west. The area around the city is very popular as a holiday destination. It's been a while, walking the four kilometers of promenade along the beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. The port of Vodice is the starting point for excursions and passenger ferries to the surrounding islands, like the small, beautiful old ship with t Line to Šibenik via short stops on the small islands of Prvič and Zlarin. There are many options for getting to Vodice. By plane either to Zadar or to Split, relatively unimportant - Vodice is pretty much in the middle of the two cities. Then by bus or rental car to the coastal town. The small Bus Station is not far from the port and is frequented daily. There are also a few large hotels along the beach promenade and as we always prefer - countless apartments. Depending on your budget, suitable accommodations can be found for everyone. With a bit of experience, you know what you should pay attention to for the most relaxed experience. If it gets too turbulent along the sea during the season, a walk through the old town, where things are calmer, or a trip to one of the national parks in the region is recommended. Of the Nationalpark „Krka“ is not far or the archipelago of the „Kornati Nationalparks“. Tours there are offered everywhere. However, it is best to go exploring yourself, be it on foot, by bike, car or by nautical means.A nice relaxed little excursion on foot is also that along the Promenade to Tribunj, which is located southwest of Vodice, following the Adriatic beaches and past the big hotels. In Tribunj then a visit to the little church “Sv. Nikola ”and delicious food before going back.
