Brač

The central Dalmatian island of Brač is the largest of the Dalmatian islands with a length of almost 40 km and a width of 12 km. It is located slightly southeast of the Port city of Split and from there you can go there every day in a relatively short time by Car ferry and catamaran regardless of the seasons.
Whether family vacation in the hotel, hanging out and surfing on the famous Beach "Slatni rat" (Golden Horn) on the south side of Brač`s Bol , hiking along the coast or in the interior of the island e.g. to "Vidova Gora", the highest mountain in the island at approx. 780 meters or enjoying the tranquility and the beauties of the island away from the hotels and the hustle and bustle - the island shows what it has to offer for every traveler no matter whether high or low season.
The island became famous in Roman times thanks to its unique white stone from the Quarry near the town Pučišća. To this day it is mined there and exported all over the world - even installed in the “White House” in Washington and in many other important buildings around the world and, of course, in abundance on the island itself.
Auf der Nordseite der Insel, aufgereiht gleich einer Perlenkette an der Küste liegen wunderschöne Örtchen wie Sutivan, Supetar, Postira, Splitska, Pučišća and on the east side Sumartin with it`s long Shipbuilding tradition with ferry connection to Makarska. On the west side, a visit to Milna with its picturesque bay opposite the island of Šolta.
